The Tampa Bay Ferries Alliance is dedicated to bringing quality, sustainable, permanent year-round ferry service to our region. We are an independent nonprofit organization that is passionate about fostering a safe, efficient, and reliable ferry service that will benefit the Tampa Bay area and its residents.

Project 140 - South Hillsborough County Terminal

Project 140 is an important element of the regional ferry service and is the addition of the South Hillsborough County Terminal. Initially, this location will conveniently connect South Hillsborough County to MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, and St. Petersburg. As ridership builds, and as the demand warrants, this service has the potential to expand to other areas.

MacDill Air Force Base Commuter Ferry Service

Project 312 - MacDill Commuter Service

Project 312 is a reference to a dedicated commuter service between South Hillsborough County and MacDill Air Force Base. This service will bring some much needed relief to congested roadways. The MacDill Air Force terminal will feature a large covered floating dock and have appropriate security measures, along with expanded on base transportation options.

Expanded Service

This will significantly expand the current seasonal recreational ferry service, by making it permanent and increasing operating hours and days of service to 365 days a year.

This expanded intercity service will provide a link between Pinellas County's SunRunner Bus Rapid transit line and the Tampa Streetcar.

For the first time in Tampa Bay history, residents and visitors will be able to easily travel from Pinellas County's pristine beaches, to historic Ybor City, to South Hillsborough County's bountiful waters and environmental lands and to everything in between.
